The mandate of the Alumni Association shall be as follows:

The Alumni Association shall be obligated to meet and discuss any matters within its constitutional mandate.

The specific activities among others are to:

  • Promote and popularize the sociable ethical and intellectual image of Machakos University.
  • Pro-actively solicit for material, financial and human resources to enable Machakos University affirm a competitive edge with similar institutions at home and abroad.
  • Collect and uphold materials of historical value to the University.
  • Organize community events and activities that are of interest and value to the University, its stakeholders, friends and the Alumni Association.
  • Aid in placement of graduates.
  • Promote motivation through honoring outstanding students, members of staff and exemplary alumni in society
  • Convene and maintain Machakos Alumni Association membership database including publication of Machakos University Alumni Association newsletters and magazines.
  • Coordinate with other Alumni Associations in Kenya and abroad to achieve the aforementioned goals.
